In our internship program, you will be at the heart of CNN’s newsgathering operations in the LA bureau, closely collaborating with producers, editors, and reporters. This role will immerse you in the exciting world of news reporting, where you will help craft stories for both digital and television platforms.

Compensation and Benefits

Responsibilities

• Work on day-of news stories for both digital and television
• Research, write, and report for CNN.com pieces
• Develop video content for linear and digital audiences
• Pitch story ideas and help locate video assets
• Contribute to news alerts for television and digital reporting
• Provide editorial and logistical support for news reporting, including interviews and research

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program
• Must be a rising Junior or Senior undergraduate (18 years or older)
• Must maintain academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA)
• A cover letter is required
• Passion for news and local communities

Education Requirements

• Currently enrolled undergraduate student

Education Requirements Credential Category

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university

Experience Requirements

• Previous experience in writing or journalism preferred, but not required
• Must be available for 3 full 8-hour days from Monday to Friday
