Pricing Solutions enables optimal revenue generation by delivering greater speed, accuracy, complexity, and scale of pricing actions. Solutions serves as the business owners of core pricing tools, designs SQL based automation software, builds timely and insightful reporting, and integrates new technologies into analysts' workflows. The role is project-based and highly challenging, requiring strong logic and data skills and an aptitude for coding. We’re looking for those with deep airline pricing experience, and/or with strong SQL, SAS, Tableau or similar backgrounds.

This role is right for you if you have demonstrated work experience with airline pricing and exposure to analytics and coding or if you have demonstrated work experience with analytics and coding and exposure to airline pricing. If you possess demonstrated experience in both skills, you’ll be a more competitive candidate for this role.

The Pricing Solutions teams are responsible for:

Supporting pricing analysts across our four Revenue Management Pricing Entities (Domestic, Trans-Atlantic, Trans-Pacific, or Latin)
Understand the processes and business rules that are specific to each entity and build tools to help reduce complexity
Streamline processes and reduce Domestic/International Pricing seams
Creatively enable new pricing capabilities while designing sustainable implementation mechanics
Designing, building, and maintaining pricing automation tools and processes using SAS/SQL/Tableau
Work with IT and external vendors to test and implement new enhancements to these tools
Analyze software requirements, constraints, interfaces, and dependencies
Organizing and forming the future pricing role by building tools/reports that will bring increased analytical capabilities to a traditionally core pricing function
Partnering with other teams develop new processes that cross entities by building short and long term solutions to bring in new pricing capabilities
Working with pricing teams to implement large system wide actions that impact thousands of markets
Developing dynamic reports and tools to help analysts and executive leadership understand and act on pricing trends and their revenue impact
Recommending strategic and tactical business actions based on post-mortem analysis of prior initiatives
Identifying and proactively addressing key business needs and issues, either analytical or technical
Delivering ad-hoc projects for various stakeholders with short timelines

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

At least 4 years of relevant experience
Must seek challenging, analytical work, and possess the ability to communicate detailed analysis through written and verbal means to all levels throughout the organization
High degree of intellectual curiosity, initiative, and drive
Ability to manage numerous responsibilities in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
Aptitude for data analysis/manipulation and interest for coding is required
Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data
Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles
Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

Familiarity with airline economic concepts is preferred. Familiarity with pricing logic and systems (AirPrice, ATPCO, DL Term) is a plus
Strong proficiency with Excel is preferred
Experience with Tableau is preferred
Previous work experience with large scale data analysis is preferred, ideally using SQL and/or SAS coding language.
