- Lead the creation and negotiation of contracts that align with General Motors' strategic goals and business objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure successful contract execution.
- Conduct thorough analysis and risk assessments of contract terms and conditions to mitigate potential issues and maximize company benefits.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulations related to contract management and business creation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement contract management strategies that drive business growth.
- Monitor and track contract performance to ensure compliance with terms and conditions and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to team members regarding contract management processes and best practices.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for contract optimization and cost savings.
- Prepare and present reports and updates on contract status and performance to senior management.
- Proactively identify potential contract issues and work to resolve them in a timely and effective manner.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on contract management and advise on contract-related matters.
- Continuously review and improve contract templates and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements related to contract management.
- Mentor and coach junior team members to support their professional development.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive contract information.
Job Qualifications
- Extensive Experience In Contract Negotiation And Management: The Contracts Leader At General Motors Must Have A Strong Background In Negotiating And Managing Contracts, As They Will Be Responsible For Creating And Maintaining Contracts With Suppliers, Vendors, And Other Business Partners.
- Business Acumen: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Business Operations, Financial Principles, And Market Trends. This Will Enable Them To Make Informed Decisions When Creating Contracts And Identifying Potential Risks.
